All fears, habits and behaviors started somewhere, and to release them in the most effective long lasting way requires them to be unhooked from our sub-conscious mind at that point they were created. We do this without having re-experiencing any discomfort or trauma. Each hypnotherapy session is individually tailored for you and your specific needs.
Attempting to change a habit or behaviour without doing this process, may simply create another habit or behaviour to replace the existing one. To ensure lasting positive change, means these patterns must be released at the subconscious level.
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a relaxed day dream like state where your mind will be alert and hear everything that is said to you throughout the session. It is a natural state you pass through twice a day as you go to sleep or wake up. This is the Theta brainwave state.
Being in this hypnotic state allows access to your subconscious mind where all memories reside. Embracing what comes up in a session is important so expect to follow the images, sensations and feelings that arise, even if they don’t make ‘sense’ at the time.
It’s more common to experience a dreamlike state where you are both observer and participant.
This is where we may be able to find the answers to your current challenges and release them. You may or may not remember the entire session once you are fully awake and each session will be debriefed with you.
Why use Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a relaxing, completely safe, drug-free and an effective means to enable you to discover the underlying cause of the behaviors you’re wanting to change. It enables you to release those recurring unwanted thought patterns or habits and shift into a more positive way of relating to yourself and others.
Our home clinic is on ground level, air conditioned with a private cosy room and comfy lounge where you can feel safe and completely relax. We explain the process to you and also discuss what you would like to focus on. It works best if we have an in-depth chat about how your experience of life is being limited, along with answering any questions you may have.
It’s recommended to not ingest too much caffeine prior to your hypnotherapy session, although don’t skip it if you are a regular consumer. Please ensure you are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs prior to attending your hypnotherapy session.
